Sounds like: The same squelchy acid sweep, up high: a screaming, resonant lead line.
The same squelchy resonant-filter character as Acid 303-Style Bass, played in a higher register as a melodic lead rather than a bassline — the filter sweep is still the whole point.
Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadDigitone II's WAVETONE machine (select with FUNC+SYN). WAV1 is a real saw from the PRIM table with LEV2 at 0 and MOD OFF, so this is a real oscillator wave, not an FM stand-in. FLTR's high RESO plus strong ENV depth and a fast DEC/low SUS is the classic squelch: the filter snaps down hard and quick on every note. P-lock FREQ (and optionally RESO) per step in Grid Recording for the moving 303-style sweep across a pattern, same approach as Acid 303-Style Bass just pitched into the lead register.
SY RAW with WAV1 set to Saw and LEV2 muted gives a single plain saw voice, same as the bass version -- melodic tracks 1-8 use Digital machines, not Analog (those only exist on the drum/cymbal tracks). AMP PAGE 2's MODE must be ADSR (the default for SY machines, but drum machines default to AHD), or SUS on AMP PAGE 1 is ignored. P-lock FLTR PAGE 1's FREQ per step for the moving squelch.
FILTER's SOURCE is set to Mod Env 1 rather than the Amp Envelope so the filter gets its own fast, independent snap separate from AMP ENVELOPE's amplitude shape -- this is the real mechanism for a '303-style' filter envelope here. MODULATION MATRIX slot naming is an approximation of the real menu layout (not yet fully catalogued in this project's reference) standing in for the classic accent-on-cutoff behavior.
Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). MiniFreak's single Envelope is hardwired to the VCA by default and also drives the Filter's ENV/VELO knob (65) here for the fast, deep sweep -- there's no separate filter envelope, so amp and filter snap together. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale, not 0-127. Macros: M1: Filter Cutoff, for live acid-style sweeps via the touch strip.
RESON this high self-oscillates readily -- back it off a hair if it screams instead of squelches. Typhon's 8 front-panel knobs are physically unmarked, so those values are clock positions, not percentages; FILTER ADSR/AMP ADSR use the same 0-100 convention as the rest of the OLED page system. M1/M2/M3 are left unused since this patch doesn't need any of Typhon's modulator slots.
Filter 1's LP Ldr24 is a real 24dB resonant ladder type, the closest Hydrasynth equivalent to a classic acid filter. Envelope 1 is pre-wired to Filter 1 and Envelope 2 to the Amp -- they're independent real modules here, not one shared envelope, so their Attack/Decay/Release can differ freely. Macro 1 is a genuine performance-macro module, unrelated to the 4 Mutator oscillator-shaping modules.
Direct melodic-register sibling of Acid 303-Style Bass — same patch philosophy, different pitch range and role.
