Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadWAVETONE again: DRIF pushed high (70) for heavy built-in random pitch drift, plus MOD page 1's Random waveform (confirmed as a real bipolar LFO waveform in the Digitone II manual) on TUN1 for an uneven, non-repeating wobble — the irregular character of degraded tape flutter. DEP 50 is deliberately larger than a subtle-warble bass patch's, since this FX wants an obviously audible warp. Requires the WAVETONE machine; FM TONE's LFOs have no pitch destination.
Random LFO waveform (real on Syntakt's LFO pages, same design as Digitone II's) on the machine's TUNE knob (parameter 1) — Syntakt's LFO destination list has no direct pitch option, so TUNE is the real route to a pitch wobble. DEP 50 is deliberately large for an obviously audible warp.

Chaos Saw is a real, documented LFO waveform option on Typhon's M-slots — genuinely the most apt real match among all six synths for irregular tape-flutter, better than a plain Triangle.
WAVE Random is a real, confirmed LFO waveform option on Hydrasynth (its LFO list explicitly includes S&H, Noise, Random, and Step alongside the standard shapes) — genuinely apt and literal for irregular tape-flutter, no approximation needed.
Digitone II, Syntakt, and ASM Hydrasynth Desktop all have a confirmed real Random/irregular LFO waveform for a genuinely uneven wobble; Dreadbox Typhon's Chaos Saw is an even more specifically apt real option. Novation Summit and Arturia MiniFreak's LFO waveform lists weren't fully confirmed to include a random/S&H option in the sections researched, so both use a plain Triangle as a reasonable but smoother-than-ideal starting point — worth re-checking each hardware's own LFO waveform menu directly before assuming Triangle is the only option.
