Bright Trance Pad
Sounds like: A big, bright, shimmering pad that lifts a section.
Sound type: pad · Genre: Techno, House · Style: uplifting, wide, shimmering trance-style pad
A bright, wide, energetic pad meant to lift a section rather than sit quietly underneath it — more brightness and more width than Wide Analog Drift Pad, with a faster, more immediate attack.

Digitone II's ALGO 3 gives three plain carriers (C, B2, B1) when the FM depth of A and B is off, so LEV (A) and LEV (B) are both 0. MIX -64 selects the X tap (C + B2), and DTUN, which offsets only the ratio of operators A and B2, detunes B2 against C so the two beat against each other. DTUN below 64 is a very slight detune; above 64 is heavier. FX page's CHR/DEL are send levels only -- the delay's actual dotted-eighth timing lives on the pattern-level Delay effect page, not per track, so set that separately. AMP page MODE must be ADSR, for SUS to hold.

AMP PAGE 2
SY SWARM is built for exactly this thick, wide, supersaw-style character -- DET and ANIM both pushed high for width and built-in movement. Syntakt's AMP PAGE 1 only offers DEL/REV sends (no separate Chorus send like Digitone II), so the width push here leans on SY SWARM's own DET/ANIM plus a heavy DEL send rather than a chorus effect. AMP PAGE 2's MODE must be ADSR (the default for SY machines, but drum machines default to AHD), or SUS/REL on AMP PAGE 1 are ignored.

DIVERGE (per-voice detune spread) and DRIFT (slow analog-style wander) are Summit's real menu-only unison-width controls, pushed hard here alongside Oscillator 2's FINE detune for genuine 'unison detuned wide' rather than just two plain detuned oscillators. Chorus and a dotted-eighth-synced Delay are both pushed hard for the uplifting, wide finish.

Osc 1 is SuperWave, the stacked-detuned-copies engine: Detune (70) sets the spread between the copies and the third knob (60) sets the copies' level against the original. Osc 2 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.
Compared with other synths: FX1/FX2 are both pushed hard for the uplifting, wide finish, matching the other synths' heavy chorus+delay treatment.

TUNE 2 is pushed as far sharp as stays musically usable, which is Typhon's real width ceiling -- with only two VCOs and no per-voice unison, it won't reach Summit or Hydrasynth's width, so expect a narrower result. FX2's Ensemble (a polyphonic chorus, wider than plain Chorus) and FX3's Ping pong delay (spreading repeats hard left/right) are both pushed hard to compensate. Typhon's front-panel knobs are physically unmarked, so those values are described by clock position, not a percentage.

Mutator 1 and Mutator 3's WavStack mode is Hydrasynth's real built-in unison thickener (5 detuned copies of each oscillator's waveform) -- a much stronger real mechanism for 'unison pushed wide' than a generic wavetable-position description. Pan Delay (which alternates repeats hard left/right) is used instead of a plain stereo delay specifically for extra width, alongside the Pre-FX Chorus. Oscillator 3 is real hardware but unused here.
How the synths compare
Same width-translation challenge as Detuned Supersaw Lead — Summit and Hydrasynth realize it most closely; Digitone II and Typhon need the most compensation via effects.
Patchpad is a free reference of drum patterns and synth patches written for real hardware: Digitakt II, Digitone II, Syntakt, Novation Summit, Arturia MiniFreak, Dreadbox Typhon and ASM Hydrasynth Desktop.
