Filter Riser Macro FX

Sounds like: A rising sweep that opens and gets more intense as you turn one knob.

Sound type: fx · Genre: Melodic Techno, Trance, Breakbeat / Jungle · Style: live filter-sweep build/riser FX

A live filter-sweep riser: one control sweeps the filter from closed to fully open, with resonance rising alongside it, over a single held note. A classic build-up, driven by hand rather than a fixed automated envelope.

Digitone II

Approximation: No macro: p-locks across a pattern

AMP page

No live macro knob. The equivalent is p-locking FLTR FREQ and RESO rising together across a pattern's steps (roughly FREQ 20/RESO 30 at the build's start toward FREQ 120/RESO 90 at its peak) to fake the live sweep gesture; this has to be programmed in advance, not played. ALGO 1 routes operator A (and B) into carrier C, so LEV (A) and LEV (B) are set to 0 on SYN page 2 and MIX is -64 (the X output, C only): that leaves C a plain, unmodulated carrier.

Syntakt

SYN — SY RAW

FLTR PAGE 1

AMP PAGE 1

AMP PAGE 2

Syntakt has no macro knob. The closest equivalent is p-locking FLTR PAGE 1's FREQ and RESO rising together across a pattern's steps (roughly FREQ 20/RESO 30 at the build's start toward FREQ 120/RESO 90 at its peak). It has to be programmed into the pattern rather than played live. SY RAW is an Analog Drum machine, so it runs on track 9, 10 or 11.

TRIG setup (Func + Trig)

Hold one note with the filter nearly closed, then push an external keyboard's mod wheel: the MODULATION WHEEL menu opens cutoff and raises resonance together. On the Tonverk itself, turn FREQ (knob E) and RESO (knob F) by hand, or record the move in live recording.

MODULATION MATRIX

Live control: one control, the Mod Wheel, sweeps cutoff and resonance together because it drives both through two Mod Matrix slots (each slot has its own Depth).

Macros

Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). Macros: M1: Analog Filter Cutoff (+70) and Resonance (+40) together: one macro, two of its four destination slots. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.

MENU · Mod wheel

Typhon has no macro system, but its Menu > Mod wheel lets a connected keyboard's mod wheel (Typhon has none of its own) drive several targets, each with its own amount, so one gesture moves them together: CUT +60, RES +35.

Macros

A multi-destination Macro (assigned in MACRO ASSIGN, up to 8 destinations per Macro): one knob sweeps cutoff and resonance together for the build.
