Sounds like: A clean, plucky scatter of notes in a constantly changing random order.
A clean, musical scatter of notes built from a randomised arpeggiator at a moderate rate: unlike a glitch or FX patch, the tone stays pure and unprocessed, so the constantly changing random note order is the whole melodic interest rather than a chaotic texture.
Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadDigitone II's arpeggiator has no Random mode: MODE options are OFF/TRUE/UP/DOWN/CYCL only. The scattered feel here comes from hand-editing each step's OFS (the real per-step semitone offset editor) to a deliberately non-monotonic sequence rather than a plain ascending run, kept musical (a moderate N.LEN and no distortion or bit-reduction) rather than pushed into glitch territory. ALGO 1 routes operator A (and B) into carrier C, so LEV (A) and LEV (B) are set to 0 on SYN page 2 and MIX is -64 (the X output, C only): that leaves C a plain, unmodulated carrier.
Syntakt has no general per-track arpeggiator; SY CHIP's built-in note-cycling stands in. OF2/OF3/OF4's mixed positive and negative offsets give a non-monotonic scatter rather than a plain rising run, the same idea as Digitone II's hand-edited OFS steps. SPD syncs the cycling rate to the sequencer.
Type Random genuinely randomises note order continuously: the literal mechanism, no approximation needed. Gate kept moderate at 60 (rather than very short) and Rhythm left at 0 keeps this clean and melodic instead of stuttery. Press Arp On to engage.
Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). Spice/Dice is deliberately left off here, unlike the glitchier random-arp patch elsewhere in this library, to keep the result musical rather than chaotic. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.
Typhon has no arpeggiator, but it has a real note sequencer (SQNCR button: 1 to 32 steps over a 6-octave range, with per-step octave, note, gate, velocity, plus probability, division and swing). Program the pattern's notes directly instead of holding a chord. The Filter and Amp ADSR and the front-panel settings shape each note.
Mode Random is a real arpeggiator direction (one of Up, Down, Up / Dn, Up & Dn, Order, Random, Chord, Phrase). Gate kept moderate at 60% and no Pre-FX bitcrush keeps this clean and melodic rather than glitchy.
