Sounds like: A warm, soft bass whose pitch wavers gently, like old tape.
A warm, softly filtered analog bass with a slow, subtle pitch LFO wobble — evoking the wow-and-flutter drift of tape playback rather than a dramatic sweep, the pitch wavers gently underneath a mellow low-passed tone.
Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadWAVETONE's DRIF parameter is a built-in random pitch drift of both oscillators — the closest native match on any synth here to analog/tape instability — and MOD page 1 adds a very slow, narrow Sine LFO on TUN1 (SPD 4, DEP 8) for the periodic wow-flutter on top. (Digitone II's FM TONE machine can't do this: its LFOs have no pitch destination and DTUN only offsets modulator ratios.) Values are starting points; DRIF and DEP are unitless here, so nudge by ear until the drift is felt rather than heard as vibrato.
Same real destination as any Syntakt pitch LFO: no direct pitch option exists, so the LFO targets the machine's TUNE knob (parameter 1) — here with a very slow, narrow Sine for a subtle wow-flutter rather than a wail. Syntakt has no equivalent of Digitone II WAVETONE's random-drift parameter, so the irregularity comes from the LFO alone.
LFO 2 is hardwired to oscillator pitch. RATE and DEPTH both kept low here — far gentler than a dedicated siren patch's settings — for a subtle drift rather than an audible wail. Live control: the Mod Wheel changes LFO 2's speed through Mod Matrix slot 1; ride the panel LFO 2 Depth knob (Oscillator section) for the wobble width.
Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). LFO 1 runs a Sin wave at 0.1 Hz. Mod Matrix: the LFO 1 row to the Pitch 1+2 column at +15. Same Mod Matrix pitch route as a siren-style lead, but Amount kept low for subtlety. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.
Same real M1 LFO-to-pitch route as a siren FX patch, but RATE slower and LVL much lower for a gentle wobble rather than an audible sweep.
Same free-assign LFO-to-pitch mechanism as a siren-style patch, slowed and narrowed for subtlety.
Every synth here uses the same real pitch-LFO mechanism documented for LFO Siren Lead — the entire difference is speed and depth. A very slow rate (4-10 depending on the synth's own scale) and a narrow, single-digit-percent depth turns a dramatic wail into a barely-there tape-style drift; don't reuse a siren patch's SPD/RATE or DEP/DEPTH values here.
