Sounds like: A warm, gritty, lo-fi pluck, like a note sampled from an old record.
A warm, slightly lo-fi pluck with a light dose of grit — dark filtering plus a touch of distortion or bitcrush gives it a dusty, sampled-record character even though it's fully synthesized.
Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadOperator A (ratio 2.00, low level ~25) gives a saw/triangle-like brightness that the dark FLTR page (FREQ 44) then does most of the tonal shaping on top of. FX page OVER at a light setting (15) adds the touch of grit that gives this its dusty, sampled-record character without turning it into a distortion patch.
SY RAW's own OVER (overdrive) knob, set light (12), supplies the grit right at the machine level rather than needing a separate FX send. Dark FLTR (FREQ 44) does the rest of the dusty, lo-fi tonal shaping.
FILTER's own pre-filter OVERDRIVE knob (20) supplies most of the grit, backed up by a light amount of the EFFECTS section's Distortion LEVEL -- two real drive stages layered lightly rather than one pushed hard, for a dustier rather than obviously distorted texture. Dark cutoff (44) carries the rest of the lo-fi tone.
Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). Real onboard Distortion (Digital Effects) supplies the light grit this patch wants -- MiniFreak has genuine onboard effects, unlike the wrong synth this entry used to describe. Dark ANALOG FILTER cutoff (35) does the rest of the dusty, lo-fi tonal shaping. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.
FX1's Hard Clipping, kept light (GAIN/LVL both low), supplies the touch of grit for the dusty character -- unlike some other synths in this family, Typhon has a real dedicated distortion slot rather than needing to drive the filter input. Front-panel knobs are physically unmarked, so WAVE/CUTOFF/RESON/EG LEVEL/FILTER TIME/AMP TIME are described by clock position, not a percentage.
OSCILLATOR 1's BITREDUX at a light 12-bit setting plus PRE-FX's Lo-Fi slot, kept subtle (Dry/Wet 30%), layer two genuine digital-grit sources for the dusty, sampled-record character. Dark Filter 1 cutoff (44.0) carries the rest of the tonal shaping.
A dark, gritty relative of Muted Analog Pluck — the added light distortion is what pushes it toward 'dusty/lo-fi' rather than just 'soft'.
