Sounds like: A bouncy, shuffled bassline that skips between root, fifth and flat seventh.
A shuffled, syncopated bassline built entirely from the onboard arpeggiator running a root-fifth-flat-seventh shape with real swing applied: the bounce comes from the arpeggiator's own timing, not manual step programming, so a single held chord produces a skipping 2-step bassline.
Open this patch in the interactive PatchpadHold a root, fifth and flat-seventh (three trig notes on one step) and MODE UP walks them low to high; RANGE 1 keeps the arp inside the held chord. Short N.LEN gives each note a clipped, percussive skip. The shuffle itself comes from the pattern's own SWING amount (TRIG page 2, per track), not a parameter inside the ARPEGGIATOR menu, so dial that in at the pattern level for the 2-step bounce. Press [ARPEGGIATOR] to open the menu; the arp is per-preset, so it travels with the sound. ALGO 1 routes operator A (and B) into carrier C, so LEV (A) and LEV (B) are set to 0 on SYN page 2 and MIX is -64 (the X output, C only): that leaves C a plain, unmodulated carrier.
Syntakt has no general per-track arpeggiator; SY CHIP's built-in note-cycling stands in. OF2 (7 semitones = fifth) and OF3 (10 semitones = flat seventh) set the chord shape against TUNE's root; OF4 left at 0 restarts the cycle rather than adding a fourth note. SPD syncs the cycling rate to the sequencer. Shuffle via the pattern's own SWING amount for the skip feel; SY CHIP's own cycling has no independent swing control.
Real, dedicated Arpeggiator section: hold a root, fifth and flat-seventh (three notes), Type Up walks them low-to-high. Swing pushed above the default 50 gives the arpeggiator its own genuine shuffle, the 2-step bounce, without touching the sequencer. Rhythm 3 adds mild syncopation on top; press Arp On to engage.
Hold a root, fifth and flat-seventh chord. Osc 1 is BasicWaves with Morph at 50 (pure sawtooth): the Morph knob runs from a square (0) through a sawtooth (50) to a double sawtooth an octave up (100), Sym only changes the pulse width below 50, and Sub adds a sine an octave down (0 here). Swing pushed above the default 50% gives a genuine shuffled skip rather than a straight 16th pulse. Values are on MiniFreak's native 0-100 scale.
Typhon has no arpeggiator, but it has a real note sequencer (SQNCR button: 1 to 32 steps over a 6-octave range, with per-step octave, note, gate, velocity, plus probability, division and swing). Program the pattern's notes directly instead of holding a chord. SWI pushed above 50 (no swing) gives the sequencer's own genuine shuffle for the 2-step bounce. The Filter and Amp ADSR and the front-panel settings shape each note.
Hold [SHIFT]+[ON] to enter Arp Edit mode. Mode Up with a root, fifth and flat-seventh chord walks the notes low to high. Swing pushed above the default 50% gives a real shuffled skip rather than a straight pulse.
