Tracks
- T1: kick
- T2: hat-closed
- T3: snare
- T4: perc1
- T5: crash
Settings
- Crash (T5, step 1): TRIG page PROB locked to 30% so it only occasionally lands on the downbeat — an occasional lift rather than a per-bar event.
- Perc1 (T4, step 11): TRIG page PROB locked to 50% and VEL to 55, with 0 µtime — an unpredictable stab, not a repeating pattern.
- FX page OVER on kick (T1) locked high, around 90-100 (of 0.00-127.00), for the stomping, slightly overdriven peak-time character across every kick hit.
- AMP page DEC on hat-closed (T2) locked shorter on the 16th accents (steps 4, 8, 12, 16, VEL 40) than on the on-the-beat-offset hats (steps 3, 7, 11, 15, VEL 60) — around 15 vs 30 (of 0-126) — for a tighter roll feel.
Digitone II
Tracks
- T1: kick (ALGO 8, FM click-into-boom, hard)
- T2: hat-closed (high-FDBK FM noise, thinned)
- T3: snare (high-FDBK FM noise)
- T4: perc1 (ALGO 1, plain carrier accent)
- T5: crash (high-FDBK FM noise, long ring, low-probability accent)
Settings
- Crash (T5, step 1): TRIG PARAMETERS page PROB locked to 30% so it only occasionally lands on the downbeat — an occasional lift rather than a per-bar event. SYN page 1 FDBK 110 for the same FM-noise mechanism as the hats, FLTR page 1 TYPE toward HP (~110) to thin the low end further than hat-closed. AMP page DEC 120 (near the top of 0-127) with MODE ADSR and REL 100 so it rings out into a long cymbal wash.
- Kick (T1, steps 1, 5, 9, 13): SYN page 1 ALGO 8, RATIO C 0.30; SYN page 2 Operator A ATK 0, DEC 15, LEV 115 for a hard, aggressive click transient. AMP page ATK 0, DEC 40, SUS 0, REL 20; FX page OVER (overdrive) locked high, to 95 (of 0-127), for the stomping, overdriven peak-time character across every kick hit — the direct Digitone II analog to Digitakt/Syntakt's OVER p-lock.
- Hat-closed (T2): SYN page 1 FDBK 90, FLTR page 1 TYPE toward HP (~100). AMP page DEC locked shorter on the 16th accents (steps 4, 8, 12, 16, VEL 40) than on the on-the-beat-offset hats (steps 3, 7, 11, 15, VEL 60) — 15 vs 30 (of 0-127) — for a tighter roll feel.
- Step 9 (snare, T3): TRIG PARAMETERS page PROB locked to 40%; SYN page 1 FDBK 95, AMP page DEC 35 — an unpredictable accent, not a repeating hit.
- Step 11 (perc1, T4): TRIG PARAMETERS page PROB locked to 50%; SYN page 1 ALGO 1, RATIO C 5.00, AMP page DEC 22, VOL 55 — an unpredictable stab.
Syntakt
Tracks
- T1: perc1 (SY Chip)
- T9: kick (BD Hard)
- T10: snare (SD Hard)
- T12: hat-closed (CH Metallic)
Settings
- SYN page OVER on kick (T9, BD Hard) locked high, around 90-100 (of 0-127), for the stomping, overdriven peak-time character across every kick hit.
- SYN page DEC on hat-closed (T12, CH Metallic) locked shorter on the 16th accents (steps 4, 8, 12, 16) than the on-beat-offset hats (steps 3, 7, 11, 15) — around 15 vs 30 (of 0-127) — for a tighter roll feel.
- TRIG PARAMETERS page PROB on perc1 (T1, SY Chip, step 11) locked to 50%, and on snare (T10, SD Hard, step 9) locked to 40% — low-probability accents so the pattern never feels the same twice.
- Crash and hat-closed both need Syntakt's single Analog Cymbal track (T12) — this pattern already needs hat-closed there for the full 16th-note roll, so the low-probability crash (step 1, 30% in the step data) genuinely cannot be voiced simultaneously on one physical unit; drop the crash or record hat-closed and crash as separate passes.
Notes
A stripped-down, physical peak-time techno pattern: a relentless four-on-floor kick, a 16th-note hat roll for drive, and sparse, low-probability accents (snare, perc1, crash) so the pattern never feels the same twice. An original pattern in the peak-time techno idiom.
